A series of teleclasses are available to explore assist in making a career
transition. Classes are accessed through a bridge phone line established
for each class. You will receive the number upon registration.
“What is keeping me from making a career change?”
This teleclass will assist participants in identifying the obstacles that
are keeping them from making a career change. Pursue why the obstacles
exist and developing strategies to overcome these obstacles and move forward.

“Developing your individual profile”
Knowing what you really want is important to making a career change, reentering
the workforce or taking your present career to a new level. Each participant
will develop his or her own profile that will consist of:
• Areas of interest
• Skills and talents
• Past and current work experiences
• Values
• Work environment – positive and negative aspects
• Critical elements of the next move
The profile will be used as a road map to the next career move.

“How to identify the career right for me?”
Prerequisite: Developing your individual profile
Each participant will use their profile to identify career areas that are
right for her or him. The participants will develop a list of career
areas and do research on each.

“Conducting Informational Interviews”
Participants will develop their interview questionnaires and learn how to
conduct informational interviews. Each participant will conduct several
information interviews with people in careers they are interested in pursuing.
Each participant will share the interview experience with the class.
